Problem 2

2) Got alternator, battery and battery cables replaced 2 weeks ago and when i put radio on after some driving i turn the car off and after that it wont turn back on. I have a Clarion unit with cd changer, pioneer premier speakers and a bazooka that is a preamped rs model. do i need one of those ghetto looking caps or should i get better amp wire so it wont pull too much power. I Need music!

the radio is not coming back on or the car is not coming back on?

you have a heavy drain on the battery somewhere? perhaps the system was wired in incorrectly?

you have a short...or a heavy drain on the battery.

take out the entire radio/audio system and make sure you connected the correct wires.

install problem. pull the entire stereo out, pull the fuses out, then do it again properly. hope it doesn't catch fire between now and then.

my friend had that problem, his was due to a fuse that kept blowing....everytime he opened the trunk with the switch it'd blow the fuse, lol, so he took out the button and just uses a key now....i told him that there was a way to fix it....

found problem. alternator installed not charging replaced with new one. lets see how that works. called clarion, when not enough power going to headunit or when not enough power being distributed in car . i automatically cuts off. but its all alternators fault. well see in a few days.

Ya i had the same problem, when buying a alternator sometimes it takes a couple of tries to get one thats not defective...make sure your battery wires are connected really tight...my car did the same thing after putting in a new alternator, the ground wire wasent on good enough, ended up blowing the alternator.
