im stuck

im stuck

just got a ve and now im switching the suspensions over easy peezy on the front now im on the rear and i cant get the cap thingy that screws the cartridge in the strut off. any ideas right now i have the assembly in a vise and i am yanking as hard as i can with a big pipe wrench and it wont budge

ok i i tried a different angle on the vise and i got more leverage and i got it off. but now the strut wont come out. when i put the suspension in i did a rear disc conversion so i just threw away my whole assembly last time and never took the cartridge out anyone got any ideas

is it the OE cartridge, or an aftermarket one? they should come right out if you filled them with fluid. If you didn't, then it's likely they're rusted in place. bad. yuck. good luck.


Why not just swap the whole thing over to the new car as well? all the disc models are the same, except for the hubs w/ the ABS parts in them. if that's the case, then just pull the hubs and the abs sensors off and swap them over.
