ABS relay stuck ...?

Did anybody happened to have an ABS relay be stuck before?

I'm not sure what it is ... I'm talking about a black box above ABS manifold (front right side).

I got ABS light on yesterday. The very same thing happened last winter, so I didn't pay much attention - planned to disconnect the battery which would reset computer and everything would be fine again ... so I thought.

Anyway ... when I got home in the evening and turned the key off, I still could hear a noise coming from the engine - similar to like some pump still was pumping something (sounds funny)
What helped is "kicking" this black box fro the top.

This morning everything was fine but this "noise" thing and "ABS light on" returned when I was driving from lunch. Kicking did help again but ... is there anything else wrong but a stuck relay? ... is this black box serviceable (I didn't open it yet)?

Thanks,
Alex

I wouldn't be able to check codes right away - I'm driving to chicago tonight. So ... if anybody happened to have the same thing before - please let me know how you fixed it.

2 things:
1. My buddy just had the same problem on his J30 and it was the relay
2. Whereabouts in chicago you gonna be?

I'm driving to make it for a flight from O'Hare (last minute trip to Europe; airtickets here, in canada, are well overpriced: $800 in comparison with $2300).

That's what I thought it is (a relay). I can live with that for a while.
Thanks for your help!

hi capedcadaver, hows it going my friend? Today i opened the relay box or whatever its called . They were 2 relays, i pulled the first out and reinsert with no luck then the second relay which had a pointed top, then the noise stop and ABS light came off..so i cleaned the points out, it was alittle nasty. Everything is back to normal now!!!!
