Still a bad idle problem need help
I still have an idle problem with my ve i cleaned out the throttle body the egr valve and change oil and toyota filter and ran seafoam throught the vacum lines the idle seems to be fairly consistent now until you hit anything power like if i go to roll down my windows the idle drops below 500 and almost dies same if i turn on my headlights on or if i hit the brakes or if i turn on the air.
Any ideas? I am going to try and take it to advance auto parts and have the charging system tested but i donno it must be something electrical.

The IACV is located just below the throttle body. It has 2 wire connectors attached to it. One is purple and one is brown. You need to remove 2 nuts and 2 bolts. You also have to pull off some coolant hoses. It is usually easier to see if you remove the flexible hose going to the TB first.
Once you get the nuts and bolts off you need to pull up on the hard tubing (has 4 i think hard lines for the fuel) that has the 2 top bolts going thru it and pull it out of the way to get the IACV off.
Some of the IACV units have a thumb screw and some have a phillips on it for adjustment. If you just want to try and adjust it you need a long phillips screwdriver. Look from the front of the engine under the TB and you will see it.

I had the same problem on my old car which was a Monte Carlo...... your alternator seems to be going. On my old car this problem lasted for about 3-4 months until the alternator completley went and I needed to get a new one.
