Pics of my Wrecked Max
I put up a post earlier that I wrecked my Max, I finally got the pics here, so I'm going to post them. Anyonethat has an idea if she'll be totalled let me know. I need to start looking for a new car. Either a new Max or a truck.
Thanks a million. Let me know what ya think.
I tried to put them in the post, couldn't get them to work
Here's the link to all the pics.

Everyone's been asking what I hit, so I thought I'd post it here.
It was an '87 Toyota that was jacked up way higher than it should be. I slid underneath until my bumper impacted the transaxel case and shock mounts. The frame is what actually did the damage to the hood and grill. Anymore questions or comments, let me know guys. Thanks a million.

Hey man,
I don't know if it's totalled or not. I should find out tomorrow or Tuesday. Wednesday at the latest. The insurance company will take her if she is. email me and I can let you know what I can do it they do decide to total it.

Even if the insurance company tells you it's totalled, it may be in your best interest to get some estimates on the repair from some decent body shops.
Insurance may say it's totalled but their repair estimate may be higher than what you can get the car fixed for. They work with an 80% rule I think and if the repair estimate is close to that you will probably be better off fixing it somewhere else.
From the pics I would guess that it's not totalled, but that's just from the pics; there may be more there than the pics show. Can you drive the car?
and what the hell did you run into?
What kinda truck you like?

1987 Toyota Pick Up
I rearended an '87 toyota that was all jacked up.
If the guy was about 4 inches higher, I probally wouldn't have had a scratch on the hood.....

I'm guessing that's about $1500 in damage. you'll need to get the bumper fixed/replaced, then the grille ($80 new), and the hood ($350 new Nissan, $225 aftermarket, $75-200 salvage). then look at about $500 in labor and paint.
this is of course assuming the only damage is what's visible right there. possible engine damage could be more, but lemme know on that.. I might be able to help you out with some parts on the engine in that case. the front of mine is totalled, but the engine is fine.

$1500?
looks like more to me, but i'm not that knowledgeable.
i hit a snowbank with my 93 se and got quoted $1400 from one place, and $900 from another. parts that need replacing are - bumper cover, bumper valence, foglight, fender(rebend), turnsignal . then on top of $500 in parts for that, it was $400 for paint matching/labor. work hasn't been done yet, but am i getting ripped off or is it more expensive just cause i have a few more parts to replace ?

WOW!!
Ah man, I feel for ya. That is ugly looking. I think there is more damage than $1500 though. I was rear ended and came away with just a few scratches and indents and it was $500 bucks! Good luck though. I hope she isn't done.
