Sure...but why not put a small block in it if you are going through the hassle of swapping.

physically it would probably dump in.

now knowing what's attached to an engine...how are you going to configure the rest of it?

mounts, tranny, electrical, sensors, wiring, ecu, etc etc...IMO waste of time for small gain.

There was a VQ30DE-K swapped into a 3rd gen on sale on ebay a while ago.

Personally, I think it would be a waste unless you are going to swap in the VQ35DE.

Why not spend the money on boost? It might be cheaper.

since you have no respect for the VE, give me your tranny, spindles, axles, motor, mounts, and anything else required to swap from VG -> VE. After this is done, sell your car (or, better yet, give it to me for parts!) and buy something else.

edit: or you could simply RTFS.

Exactly where in that quote does it imply he doesn't respect the VE??

actually... so far the vq30 seems to be a bit stronger than the vq35. i'd probably stick with the ve and try finding the limits of that. iron block, forged internals, dohc, variable cams and intake... can't get much better.

Someone showed me a japanese racing site, and to my disbelief, all of the new 350z's were using the VQ30DE-K's instead of the 3.5L

But they were twin turboed...

Easy, sell the VG and buy a VE.

that is a no-brainer. buy an auto trader and find a VE 3rd gen. call the seller. arrange to see the car. with a friend, drive your VG 3rd gen over there. buy the VE car. drive it. have your friend follow you home in the VG car.

I definately remember that kit, in fact I received a few PMs with people asking me about it. I think Stillen kept it under wraps for some reason, just like the rwd kit they released only 2 of, those are rare!

If you want you can use my car a project for it. I'll drive cross country for it. Sounds like a good deal
