Have a few questions......please help

I am in the prossess of replacing the front head gasket on my VE engine. Since I have the intake cam off, how much do you thing the dealer will charge if I took them the cam shaft and have the cam sprocket springs replaced? I know they are bad, cause I had to ground out the VTC`s selienoids. Also, should I really replace the Knock sensor too? This is costing a **** load of money....and by the way.....how much tourqe is put on the head bolts.....I am having a hard time getting them to break loose?

No need to bring the entire cam shaft with the VTC sprocket attached, unbolt the sprockets and repalce or rebuild the sprocket. I have no idea what the dealer or any mechanic will charge for a rebuild. Brand new sprockets are pretty pricey.

I would inspect the knock sensor if it's corroded or crack then a replacement is a good idea

Yes the maintenance cost does starts to add up

Head bolts torque shouldn't be hard to find, my service manual isn't close by or else I would give you the spec. But since you're trying to break the bolts loose head bolt torquse specs shouldn't matter. Use a cheater pipe.
