you could try the old 1 gallon of denatured alcohol to 5 gallons of fuel trick that might get it to pass. it worked for my 92 f150 and my buddys 87 supra which both failed do to hydrocarbons and i did a full tunup on my truck although i think it proboly needed a new CAT which was original

I just passed emissions last night 5th times a charm just make sure timing is not advanced but i still failed and my buddy was doing the test and just retarded the timing as much as possible and passed with lots to spare. I was kind of pissed that he was messing with my CAS without me knowing but I was more relieved of passing its been almost a year. expired 1/04 oh well another two yrs.
