Post Pics of Your Engine Bay
That filter was there for ~8 hours before the wreck. I was troubleshooting an idle problem I'd had since the engine swap.
Thanks for bringing that to everyone's attention Shawn. Of course the idle was the least of my worries after that.

I was about to buy some today but they wanted 70
Tom said he could get me a cheaper pair for about 40 but ugh, just figured I'd ask.
What about Schmucks? I think they have free rental.

atleast you didn't leave out the baby blue!
I can't find a pic of my new engine anywhere. Oh, well it just looks like all the others. Maybe when the rest of my CAI gets installed sometime next year, I'll update this thread.
With all of the screwing around with suspension crap you do, Shawn, you may as well just buy your own spring compressors.

Shawn I'm doing pretty much the same thing with my suspension as you are right now. I just finished my struts and I rented a spring compressor for $40. That's the going rate pretty much any where and you can use them as long as you want. You should just rent one.

I like the idea of controlling the vtc's and the variable intake manifold at the flick of a switch. How does it affect the engine when when you use those switches?

I can tell you that VTC's grounded + y-pipe pulls alot harder than VTC's ungrounded + no y-pipe, and VTC's ungrounded + y-pipe = trouble

ungrounded + y-pipe = just alot faster than I expected it to be, doesnt take much to get going pretty dang quick video (right click save as)
I was driving with a friend today and with the VTC's grounded the tires still get loose around 4500rpm. Huge difference compared to stock, didn't think the y-pipe could make that big of a difference

edit: hey Sean, come over to the forums at http://www.max-world.org one of these days or hit me up on aim. I gtg for now though

Hmmm... might as well join the .org-y!!

That was before I did ANYTHING to it, but after I got the replacement engine...

Now, this was after I decided to dress the engine up a bit with blue wireloom and drop the Optima in there, but before I put some other goodies on it...
Ok... This isn't the best pic, but this was after I put on the CAI, but well before I polished the valve cover...
And THIS is the result of a lot of man-hours and quite a bit of elbow grease!
I'll get the pics of it installed posted once I clean the darned engine bay again....
