digital dash black in cold

digital dash black in cold

In cold weather, the digital dash on my 1991 Maxima goes black until the dash warms up. Each year in the cold , the problem becomes worse. Is there a small part that can be replaced or does it need a whole new dash (ie. instrument cluster)? Help.

needs a resolder. one of the solder joints is bad

anyone has any eperience doing the repair (DIY)....have a solder gun but not sure where to solder....any ideas?

I just swapped the digi dash in my car 2weeks ago and I think tuesday it was in the teens when i was going to work and in 5 min it just went on I just dont think twice of it. LCD usually works crap in cold anyways.
