Yeah you'd have to get some se gauges and then swap them out bunch of write ups on how to do it in faq

you will like the se gauges they are to me as good as a aftermarket gauge. Get the one from a 92-94 se as they have a little more speed on the dial. Also look for and auto gauge so you will have the overdrive light

I have a 89 SE white gauge cluster for sale. It has Overdrive and ABS lights. You might have to buy new 194 bulbs (?). $20 + shipping.

okay... i'm definatly considering buying that cluster from you ghostmax... but i'm wondering what is involved to change the entire backglow to blue on all the gauges and change the needles to red?.... any suggestions anyone? (thanks for all the replies so far!) oha... if someone could find a link to the wireup process that'd be awsome... i can't seem to find it in the faqs. thanks!

If you put the SE (manual) gauges in the GXE (Auto) you will most likely have to find a way to wire your OD indicator light somewhere. I tried rewiring it to another light, but when the light was turned on the OD switch wouldn't work. I dont know I still have to look into it. The gauges are a direct fit, and they look real nice. heh.

If they are reverse glow, then I can't help you. Goodluck.

i have a white face gauge cluster from a '93 SE 5-speed with the 145mph on the cluster not the 125mph like the GXE and it works just fine. i would go with these gauges then those rice lookin' aftermarket ones. i also have an extra gauge cluster from a '91 SE 5-speed which i will be workin' on to do some crazy stuff to it. well good luck on ur gauge cluster installation its simple and easy.

hey kringle, since the white gauges i have are from an 89 SE automatic, it has the OD and ABS lights. you won't have to rewire anything--it's just plug and chug. i put them in my 92 gxe long ago but removed them when i bought my SE. the removal and install is a piece of cake. you just have to remove a bunch of screws to access the cluster. similar instructions can be found on craig brace's website.

as far as the "indigo" gauges, i think they are overlays and won't work with gxe gauges anyway, but i'm not 100% sure. you will have to remove the needles by twisting them off which can break them. there are some who have done it. i can't tell you who though.

hrm.... well i'd love to be able to change the light color to blue if at all possible on a set of white gauges... if not i don't think i'm going to go with it... i'll just wait till i get an SE... but 25bones isn't too bad for a set of gauges... hang on to em for me... i'll have some money soon...
