AT gone bust... =(

My AT went bonkers a while back. 1st and 2nd gear worked fine but 3rd had no stroke. It just skid like an old worn out clutch. No good.

So I bought a used AT and swapped it this weekend. Unfortunally that AT was even worse so now I can't even touch the gas before the engine starts roaring, but the car just don't move.

After a bunch of phone calls to various dealers and repair shops I found a guy who could repair the first AT for 8000SEK, that's about $1200. Others wanted as much as 25.000SEK ($3600) for the same job... OMG!

So just a tip to all you with AT Maximas; Make sure your AT doesn't brake!!

hehe... yeah ya better

I'm fairly new to Maximas, but as I understand it the trannies are a big problem with these babies... I had a friend who swapped his manual like 3 times or something... Got any advice about that? It'd be highly appriciated!
