you'll just have to pull off the door panel carefully and open the latch from insde the door itself. you'll only need a philips #2 and #3 & flathead screwdriver. it may be easier to pull out the bottom of the rear seat too.

there is a rod in there that is inserted in plastic. it probably poped out. just take the panel out. do it when you have alot of time cus with the door closed its pretty hard. be real patient. after you get it off. look around the bottom for a rod lying around or just look to see if anything is out of place. its real easy to put back. or you might have to grease up the little box that has the latch on it. on mine the rod poped out and the latch needed greasing. if your passenger cant shut the door the first time DONT LET THEM BUMP IT WITH THEIR HIP this is what pops that rod free. good luck.

Yes, there's four bolts holding the front seat down. Pull the seat out and, and use 2 small flat head screwdrivers to pull off the panel. Try getting 1 on each side of the body clips, pulling them out one at a time. There's a connector on the switch that will have to be disconnected.

That's about it.

Also, there's 2 screws that have to be removed. 1 under the handle, and the other is in the handhold i believe.

There should also be 2 screws located on the front edge of the panel that closes against the dash(New Zealand Maximas do anyway) with flat covers that pop over the screw head. Have a look at the drivers side panel and you will see what I mean, and better still, take the drivers panel off to see what you need to do to get the panel off with the door shut. Good luck
