camschaft question

Were can I go or is there a link to find the camsshaft of a 92 maxima se, or ve engine.

Are you looking for a stock camshaft(s) or you looking for the spec for the camshaft, the cam profile.

I'm lookin to go with high proformance or upgrade. This is my first ve so I don't know that much about this kind of engine. I had a vg before. I'm planning to port and polish the heads so I need to know.

Then in that case, sadly there's no after-market performance camshaft for the VE. I could imagine what that would have cost.

You can have the stock cams reground....not sure how you would figure out the specs to gain some performance.

One more thing can I use the wsp y-pipe, magnaflow cat and muffler. from a vg? Will it bolt on, or do I have to get another one.

Yeah porting and polishing has nothing to do with changing the cams. Its for opening up the passage way for air and fuel (porting) and decreasing turbulance (polishing). So sure a bigger cam will benifit from porting and polishing but so does a stock configuration.

Not sure how much it would help the VE or if it would be worth it or not because I honestly dont know how large the runners are or how rough the casings are because I have never had my head off.

If anyone wants pics (for references) or is interested in heads (that way you have no down time if you get them ported and polished), I have a set I just pulled off my old engine. They are in the garage and I could take pics of anything you want and email them to you. Just shoot me a PM. I also have the cams if someone is interested in them (minus the VTCs).
