help my window switch!!!

i ordered a regulator for my driver side front door last week. the window would not roll down so I thought maybe the only reason it was up was because it was propped up. well i went to a glass shop for them to get the window down for the regulator. turned out I had a perfectly working regulator, but I put in the new one an anyway. turns out the switch is bad. in the drivers door. it will roll the drivers window up, but nothing for down. just last week my pass. rear did the same thing, go up but no down. can these switches be repaired or do I need to go to the junkyard in the morning.

are you talking about taking off the button or are you talking about really getting it apart. and is that a sure fix or just a suggestion. and what specifically do I need to clean them.
