Wiring Speakers on the 92
Thanks to that guy who dropped me a tip on putting the speakers in, it took me a while but I got the seat off and then got under that damned window mat thing and replaced all that crap. The only broblem now is connecting the wires, the wires that came with the factory model are still good I think, its just, they are connected all in one and I can seperate the two heads so I will have to cut strip and connect the factory wires with the wires that came with the speakers but Im not sure what the best way to do that is. PROBLEM-I need to wire the back speakers because the old wire heads are different, how do I connect the old wires with the new ones? How do I tell which is the - and which is the + on my model?
check out craigs page again, should say which color is which somewhere, if you can't find it there, if you're lucky matt will chime in, i know hes got them somewhere, id suggest running new speaker wire tho
Sorry for a delay. Here we go:
Rear amplifier harness:
Main power (12Vdc) = Brown/White also feeds rear amplifier
Accessory power (12Vdc) = Yellow/Green
Ground = Black
Rear left speaker positive = Black/Yellow
Rear left speaker negative = Lime Green
Rear right speaker positive = Black/Red
Rear right speaker negative = Orange
