I have just recently replaced both the front fight and rear right motors mounts and my engine still shakes a little. Anyone know how hard the third (rear left) will be?
oh, and i have an auto vg.
Doesn't look to hard but it looks like there is a bracket conneting the car to the mount and to the tranny. anyone know exactly how to get this apart?
Ill post a pic if you don't know what the hell imtalking about.
I know all the basics, but i just looks a little more complicated then the other two.

 

i know of the manual tranny car the rear left mount isn't holding too much. i've taken it off without any support on the engine and tranny with no issues. i think its just for when you actually put some forward or rearward momentum on it. i'm not positive on the auto tranny though since i've not looked at one before but most likely it shouldn't be too hard.

 

well i got the new mount on. the old one was pretty messed up. almost torn all the way around. but my maine problem didn't get fixed. whenever i put it into drive it clunks very loud and shakes the car a little.

 

that's weird... maybe the actual metal broke on the cross member. i think that has happened to a few people here but i'm not sure.

might inspect around the cross member where the motor mounts bolt to and check if there are any cracks or anything.

 

Zoltan.....were did you get the motor mount?
