Hey im new to the boards. I was wondering if all the canadian 5spd maxs have vlsd or if it was just an option. I need to know because im doing a 5 spd swap on my gxe and need to know whether or not i need the extra parts for the conversion. Also anyone who has done this swap, could you email or pm me with any tips or problems you ran into. Thx

 

don't know about the canadian ones for sure, but all the US 92-94s had LSD.
of course those were also used with a VE and will neccesitate swapping hubs and axles.

 

i was wondering also i have a 90 se 5speed and i can easily get my hands on a 92-94 speed tranny with the hubs and axles, would it be worth the swap? will the only benefits be better traction?

 

also im curious if the gear ratios in a 92-94 tranny are different than the ratios in the 90 tranny and advice or insight is greatly appreciated
