Are you in need of more warmth/cooling?

Ref: "Car speed & ambient temp define the temp under the hood. The engine bay is basically one huge down open air press scoop [stock vehicle]. Over city speeds, the differences to ambient temp, is average 1C"

One of the applications of this basic Truth is insulation:

In winter, your cabin heating pipes stand bare in subzero wind. If u calculate this tube area and heat energy escaping via it to atmosphere, while DRIVING, u find out that quite a lot energy has vanished before it hits your heater. (Just a guess is that the bare tube in the cold wind represents 1/4 of the heater core area.)

In the summertime -which is coming, thank God- its the opposite: Under idling STANDING car hood temps rise very high. In Maxima u have four? feet of cold piping coming to the cabin under these water boiling conditions. Your A/C system is trying -feverishly- to make winter...

These two systems have been designed in oncert by i... Happily there is simple solution: Wisely created men have created -bang- us THE insulation.

So if you want -some do not- more heat into u cabin in winter, insulate your heating tubes under the hood.

So if you want -some do not- more cold into u cabin in summer, insulate your A/C tubes under the hood.

MeasuRex Poof for all Cool men: Summer day A/C input air temp at dash inlets drops from +15C down to---> +8C and to one who has been around temp R&D, knows thats a lot atshii!

Hey Friends! Get Cool.
