Need help installing a double din kenwood radio, 4X6, and 6X9

Here's my problem. My bose system is slowing dying and I want some new stuff installed. I want to do it myself and need help badly. Everyone wants to charge from 100-175 to just do installs. I have a single din kenwood already installed with a 10 disc changer. I just need instructions on how to put in the double din radio and how to change the door and rear speakers. Tell me what parts do I need in order to get started. If possible I need step by step instructions with pictures would be nice.

Hugss and Kisses and happy hoildays all my maxima owners out there

Check this out in the stickies. instructions It's under the FAQ. It will give you instructions for lots of stuff including stereo things. It's pretty easy after that.

Not sure as to the specifics of your car, but mine had the single din with a cupholder/tray below. They both sit in one bracket. I think it would be cake to place a double din in that bracket. You would then lose the cupholder, but you have your radio. Everything at a cost.

you will need an antenna adapter because of Nissan's dual-diversity antenna system
get it from any audio store or ebay

also need a wiring harness so you can wire your new radio and plug it into the stock harness

both those things are ~$10-15 each

nek already has an aftermarket HU. Most likely, that stuff is all set.

I have a single din kenwood already installed with a 10 disc changer.

You're exactly right. Sorry, I didn't really read the first part of the thread.

So Nelledge is right, you should be ready to go. The bracket that are on the side of your current unit should screw right into your new double din and it'll fit right in the opening.

That price sounds fair for that HU. Whether it is "worth it" should be your decision. If that is what you like and what you're looking for, grab it. You know what you are expecting out of the system and what "perks" you want. There is so much product out there that you should set parameters for what you want and build it accordingly. ie. budget, quality, warranty, ease of installation, fit, power, etc.

I like the radio for the fact I like being able to listen to some of my old tapes. My old kenwood is tape deck with a 10 disc changer on it.

you mean you haven't transfered all your tapes to CD yet? Do it fast man, those tapes can only last so long.
