VLSD question

Senerio:

Open parking lot, half covered with road salt (passenger side), the other part is dry (drivers side). I do a 1/2 throttle dump clutch->WOT, the passenger side spins and squeals, the driver side has no signs of this and the car barely moves until the passenger side tires stop squealing.

Has anyone had this problem? I would assume that something is wrong with the drivers side axle, but it makes no noise. I am going to get it on a lift and see what happens when I stop the passenger side wheel.

It could be because the limited slip mechanism has gone out, I recall a guy I used to work with had a ford truck that had a posi rear (limited slip) he said the clutches in the rearend where burnt out, and that is why the posi didnt work, and only one tire would spin. it's something to look into anyway

I got this prob I posted about it last year but no one seemed to care but the viscous coupling is a sealed unit containing a silocone which when heats expands. which locks up both discs but that may just burnt out or cracked casing. mine wasnt working then like a month later it was working again but prob just wear and tear.

not yet

I need to find one more link so I can install the bushings.
Ordering new gas tank hoses from Nissan tommarrow for the white car (swapping gas tanks with the black car). The black car does not currently have a gas tank either

I'll do all the suspension when I do the gas tank hopefully this weekend if the parts come in on time. (swap the rear driver wheel bearing and rear passenger radius arm mount between the two cars. Find an extra set of adjustables for the bushings then install everything).

Why is the rear bearing being changed? I notice a funny noise coming from back there are long sweeping right turns and some funny handling.

i know, with minor steering wheel corrections.

long long ago when I finally put my rear springs on and a bunch of other crap I went to fast and spun out and hit a curb (did about a 270)

bearing = bad and needs to be replaced

my car also had this problem in the rain. But in the dry pavement it would leave 2 black stripes. Dunno why, but maybe the internal clutches require a little more traction to provide a true LSD?

Lincoln Locker sounds cooler than Miller Locker

But Miller > Lincoln
