A glimpse of what is to come...
Shhh... this has been under wraps for a while. Just giving you all a sneak peek.

Eaton M90 sandwiched between a VE lower intake manifold on top, Pontiac GTP manifold on bottom, and a Q45 throttle body on the side.
A little look at the beast to be constructed.

Good luck on the project, very interested to see the beast released. Keep us updated.

We'll see how things go with this one, may be a little more power than the stock can handle, but... we will find out!

first SC VE I know of. I remember that guy who SC'd his VG, that was a cool idea.
it will be pretty bad a$$ if you pull this off but it looks like its going to take alot of heavy fabrication mainly designing a belt system to work and not slip
also have you checked hood clearence yet

Thats the beauty of the eaton. it doesnt have to go between the intakes because it takes the place of the upper intake manifold. I had actually considered this a couple of years ago because I had a friend that had one and another friend that was pretty good at fabrication (though he had never tried something like this). Unfortunately the guy that had the blower left town so I never got to talk him out of it and it was more of a wishful thinking kind of thing anyway. I highly doubt I would have really every tried it but it would have been fun to see if I could do it.
I do think it will be difficult to get it to fit under the hood like you say though. I guess it just depends on how good the fabricator is and if he can make a short enough mounting plate for the bottom of the eaton to sit on the lower intake.
1989MaxMan I am pulling for this to work for you. Aaron getting the zemulator working where you can change your ECU will help in tuning for the blower. I would seriously look into getting one.
Good luck because you have your work cut out for you.

Yeah the VE lower was just for size comparison.
Thanks for the encouragement, I have been in contact with Aaron while he has been working on the Zem with Ash. Our ecu is a 16bit instead of 8, so we have to use 2 zem, or whatever modified version Ash comes up with. I have access to ECU burning hardware, so once we get a good tune i'll burn some chips to make this permanant.
There are a couple way of mounting the M90. I want to mount it directly on top of the engine, much like the GTP and all old school Hot Rod engines do, problem is it 90% wont fit under the hood. To keep it under the hood I could mount the SC in a remote location and plumb a line to the intake, but i will have to move the throttle body to the SC intake side and extend the screw out to where i can access an accessory belt. I talked with a rep from Eaton, and he recommended that if I forgo getting a 6 or 8 rib crank pulley made, then switching the SC pulley to a 4-rib, I would have to get 70% wraparound of the belt to get ~the maximum effective use of the screws. Otherwise this thing might slip a lot because of the screws rolling mass compared to the 4-rib belts. I think the Goodyear gator belt, that has the grooved channels, will help in getting better coverage, and ill fab up an idler pulley on either side to get the 70% wraparound.
