n00b signing in for duty, fellows.

i hate to be the n00b....
because, technically, i'm not.
well, ok... here i am... but not to this whole.. ok. never mind.

my name is kurt(duh), although my brother seth will occasionally be on here under my name as he is the main driver of the hunk_o_junk i like to call the trash_bag-xima

i am not entirely new to forums, however.
i post on supramania.com as supra90turbo and have 2000+ posts

i just wanted to poke my head out into traffic and say hello.
should probably warn you, but i'm sure you will all get used to my constant-thought ramblings, since i am just too . . . . something . . . i'm not quite sure what . . . . to proofread.

as a closing statement, i would like to ask, where to get the maxima.org stickers. i would like to place a couple lovingly on the crapbox in the side yard.

thank you all for reading
and i hope i can make this as memorable for any of you as it may, could, and should be for me.

kurt

true. i do like the old stickers better. i wish someone would just carry the torch.... oh well.

plus these are a little pricey @ $5/ea.... that's odd.... i got my supramania.com ones for $10, but i got 3 of them... one of which i screwed up, so i really only got two... but that's not the point.... it's the principle of the thing :slams counter w/fist: .... oh well.

I usta have a supra too, (it was an 89 turbo targa, but still fast). Kept breaking down, did not feel like throwing buckets of money into a daily driver so now its just there, and I drive a max.

I do miss the speed though, and the swissshsh of the Blow off Valve. and the rear wheel drive over powered drift.

haha. thanks everyone.
so, silverlinekenne, you run a ct26 on your maxima? that's really cool! heh. i got an extra if you ever need it. probably could use to be rebuilt, but if you're ever stuck....

and lalo,
FIX IT!
what's the matter with it? i'd hate to see a wonderful 89 targa supra just die in the side yard.....
you will spend money, but it's worthit. have a look here...

mine is a 90 turbo hardtop 5 speed.
full 3" exhaust turbo back, no cats to an N1 muffler
manual boost controller set to 10psi, but on a cool/cold dry night, i hit fuel cut @ 15psi
k&n fipk
pvc intercooler piping
blitz dual drive bov
FAL 220 electric fans wired to the a/c relay
unorthodox l/w flywheel
TRD clutch that slips like a ****, already.....waste of money
lotek 2 gauge pod
60mm greddy peak/hold/warning
boost (hangs in front of the stock gauge)
egt
air/fuel

custom short shifter by me
suspension techniques springs
bilstein struts
rear hatch brace
suprasport.com traction arms
hella h4 conversion

as for the engine
surfaced block and head
titan motorsports 1.4mm metal headgasket
arp head studs
hosetechniques pretty red hoses

alpine 9805 h/u
pioneer 3.5" speakers in doors
polk 5.25
infinity kappa 12" 1230w sub - not in. need to make custom box to reside in spare tire well, and i am also w/out amp. am researching it at the present... massive amounts of bass aren't high on my priority list right now... nor ever, really.
would like to have all infinity speakers, and i will.
that h/u is xm ready, too. so i think i'll be signing up with that soon also.

people ask me why i spend so much money on my car......
i just dont know.
it's still not perfect, nor is it really close....
but it's getting there. most of the money i spent was on the small heater hoses and junk like that at the dealer. if i could avoid it i would, but some of them are unavoidable and those are the expensive ones.

it's my life, and it's my dream. it's sort of coming true. i just wish i made more money......
i might have to go to college after all. if nothing else, for my car. hahaha

so i think i'll stick with my current answer when people ask me why i spend all my money on my car.... i just tell them:
"i could be spending it on heroin, or crack...."
they're not so disappointed in me after that..

Keelan? That guys a ****!

OMGHI2U MK3 Supra:

Other pics: http://ghettomods.net/gallery/supra

I didn't have much time to mod it since I got rod knock 3 months after buying the car.

I did manage to get some gauges in a pod, shimmed wastegate, K&N FIPK, HKS DP, Test Pipe, 3" Catback, and the previous owner did the JBLMK3 PVC Hardpipes, Apex'i BOV.

Currently here on my rebuild:

Nothing fancy; just .030 over, chrome rings, new bearings, reground crank, N/A cams, ARP head studs@80 ft/lbs. Before I'm done will be a 57 trim upgrade and some real hardpipes.

lol kurt: Speaking of hoses at the dealer; ever check the price on the turbo->elbow lower intercooler hose?

not saying the maxima's junk... just mine.
i'd like it if it wasn't ****ty, but i still enjoy beating the living **** out of it....
i'm not here to make friends with my opening statements.... i'm sorry. and i'm not into "caffeine" i dont like coffee. and mountain dew ruins your children.
dont take it the wrong way, but dont take things the wrong way.

"lol kurt: Speaking of hoses at the dealer; ever check the price on the turbo->elbow lower intercooler hose?"
yeah. i did. i bought one. not knowing how much it would be. i figured $40 or so, that'll do it.
nope. i almost **** when they told me how much it was, after it came in.... of course, i made a big deal of it, because it was a big deal, and they ended up giving it to me for just slightly over cost, because nobody thought to warn me that it was that expensive... i was yellin and ****. it was great.
