Dry the filter...
Try the filter...
Start testing...

How deep u did dive? Engine wirings are not watertight...

the car is still running?
then let it dry out for a bit and you should be ok, if not check your alternator.

It sounds like you have gotten some of your ignition components wet. Since you have rain in your forecast for quite awhile, I would suggest some "wire dry" on the wires and cap. Maybe even take the cap off and spray inside. Just make sure to let it evaporate before putting it back, it may ignite with the spark. I think this should help more than anything.

If it's still running you all good. If you hydro locked it would NOT run. I degreased my engine at one point and was very careful, but I still got some water in the ignition componets and it sputtered for a while. I let it run for 20 minutes with the hood opened and it all evaperated.

though... You did have a CAI, makes m wonder what the water could of done to your engine.

yea it still runs.....but you think by getting the O2 sensor on the y pipe wet would affect anything

Wire dry is a product that evaporates water. Primarily used for electrical components(i.e., ignition components). Stuff works great, especially if you have old wires. Of course, I have an SE so I don't worry about that stuff anymore. If you had gotten water into your combustion chamber, two things could have happened. One: hydro-lock. Most likely leading to a spun rod bearing or damaged rod. Two: Rough engine. Temporarily until water is out of picture. The latter would have passed after a few minutes at normal running temp. The former would probably mean no engine. It sounds like still you have a damp spot. If you can't find the "wire dry", use a silicone spray. It just requires higher quantity and takes longer to evaporate. Hopefully, your problem has a solution that's easy.

Could be. How many miles do you have on it? And how long were you in the foot of water? Puddle or river?

As far as I know, the O2 is hermetically sealed. Has to be, as its always hitting water splahes...

If you have water splash inside engine compaertment, various systems will be still wet, and will keep that way until you dry them. Things like TPS, MAF, relay boxes and whatever well shielded connector that now shields this water inside them. Long tedious open/blast -job to dry all.

Some of the electrics "watercleaners/dryers" are not for the long run: they get you from the trouble, but start to collect tha always whirling dust from stormy wind inside the engine compartment. See my web page for ideas whats now happening in your electricals environment.

That is if the problem is only electronics: check compression pressures to verify engine. This in case your engine sucked water in hard.

To get piece of mind, check compression pressures. The gauge is '10$'

All small semi-shielded pieces under the hood are now micropools filled with water. Be it a connector, now it is shorted because of that water. Give 'em compressed air. ...sigh not hopefully oily...

TPS will not dry, you have to drill carefully a hole on the top and pump cleaner in until it is fully soaked and flows out (that is if u got water into this open haystack.)

WD40 also works as water dispersant (hence the name)
