I have a 1990 maxima GXE everything stock. Just recently i got a kenwood deck installed. Today i tried to install 2 pioneer 6x9 speakers in the rear and they wont fit!
Every site i had been to claims they should fit, and they dont. The one that were previously there are clarion 5" speakers.
Am i doing something wrong? Because i see no way how i can get the speakers in, nothing line up and they dont fit at all.

Any help our input would be most appreciated. Thanks.

 

The bose system in many of the SE's have 6x9's in the rear, but they utilize a special adaptor, what you want for your rear deck is a set of 6.5" speakers, they should bolt right up with no trouble.

 

6.5" speakers should fit in easily? even though the speakers that are there now are 5" speakers. I just want to make sure, b/c it was quite frustrating when you get all the way to the speakers, since i have to take the whole backseat apart to get to them, and have them not fit...

Also what 6.5" speakers would you recommend?
