Climate control led display is dim

As stated in the title the climate display is very dim (very difficult to read). Sometimes when starting it does come on at the correct level of brightness however within a few minutes reverts to its usual dull state.

Should note this relates to a 1990 Ti Maxima (Australia) if that makes a difference and the climate was fitted when new.

Any help would be greatly appretiated. Thanks.

Take it apart and do some resoldering on the circuit board. That fixed mine

yup.. poor solder connections on the board. you'll have to follow the ribbon cable from the display unit to the main circuit board, but you'll see a few decent size resistors on it (1/2W or 1W I think).. resolder all the parts in that area, and you should be fixed up.

If you're not up to that, I have a buddy in AUS that's an electrical engineer and would probably be willing to tackle it for you. it'll be much cheaper than shipping it to the states to fix.
shoot me a PM if you want me to send him your contact info
