Broken bushing on shift linkage.
Has anyone reapired a bushing that holds the shift rod in place?
If you take off the leather boot and the rubber boot under that. There it is. A horizontal piece of rubber bolted on the sides and in the middle to the shifting rod.
How did YOu fix it?

are you talking about the bolt and 2 bushings that hold the control lever(shifter rod) to the control rod?? or the control lever socket? there are several replacable bushings and bearings on the shifter lever all of which are easy to do after you remove the lever from the car..

I haven't broken it myself, but I know several people that have. for a temp fix, get a couple long bolts and a handfull of zip ties and make a splint for it.
Or if you have the time to let urethane cure, make a new one out of urethane.
