Y-Pipe Stud came out with Nut
So I was taking out my Y-pipe today, and those nuts pretty much glued to the studs. 4 of the 6 nuts came out with the studs. So tomorrow I'll probably go and get some new studs and nuts.
How do I put the new studs in??????????????
And where can I get them from? Home depot?

Actually my catalyc converter nuts came out pretty easily. One thing that made the Y-pipe-to-header nuts so hard was the bad angle. I had to use a long extension, and hold the ratchet head straight with one hand, and turn it with the other.
I think that I should change the studs otherwise this will happen again later on. I will probably get some studs/nuts from the dealership. I dont clearly understand how to put the new ones in. Do I just screw them in by hand, and then put the nut on the bottom and keep tightening it. Wont it keep on going until it comes out the top??
Also, 2 of the 6 studs are still on the car, I would like to change those too. Any way to do that?????
thnx guys

If it ain't broken don't fix it, leave the two on the car there. In attempting to take those two out you might break them and give yourself a 2 hour drilling lesson is a very uncomfortable position. The stud can go up so much, just put back everything the way it came out, you'll be fine. Not worth it!!!!! but if you wish to do it more power to you, but remember you've been warned about it not being worth it.
