I bought a 40 series flowmaster muffler and had it put on my 90 SE today. First of all I know there are others things that would have sounded better but i got this muffler for $30. Anyways, It has a nice deep tone but it fades as RPM's get higher. What would be the best way for me to try to get a little louder but more consistent throughout RPM's. I'm doing my own intake soon and I thought that would help and, I was thinking of having 2 1/2 inch pipe run from the cat back...or putting a glass pack on or maybe both. I don't know much about exhaust so any help would be appreciated.

 

well....if you want your car louder, an intake does add a nice growl at higher engine rpm

 

why not running sans muffler and keep the resonator.

it's not as loud as you think.
