yes. i have two 3rd gen die cast dealer models. one is black, the other is silver. i keep one of them on my office window sill.

i purchased them on ebay. check in there time to time. the suppliers for the models are in the netherlands for some reason. i have the receipts somewhere around here, but i cannot find them right now. so check ebay.

I thought they were smaller, like 1:24 scale?

Hey Bonz, aren't they the UK model, too (no spoiler, UK grille)?

They are smaller than 1:18, I forget the exact size, but the car is only about 6" long or so.

It is the european model (LHD though so not UK).

I got mine on ebay.

oh yes. thanks for the correction. they're 1:24. the detail is so-so, but overall it is a nice collectible. and rare. well worth it for the 3rd gen geek, like me.

the car must be UK because it is RHD like a GTR. it does have a boot spoiler. it would be the 92-94 version as well, per the rear tail design. mine has red (backup?) lights inset into the rear bumper fascia. i've never seen that on any maxima. and, of course, it has the sidemarkers. but---> no UK grille. (??). the model is unusual in this regard. and it is a 5spd manual. so by default it must be the VE. and it has no sunroof. it'd be a cool 1:1 scale car, actually!

by the way, on the bottom, the make and model is "Doorkey EPE Holland." then under that it reads "Nissan Maxima 1994 NR.0-140."

i could zap a pic of it later today.

That reminds me of when I was 6 years old. I made a plastic model of KITT, and put it on the parcel shelf of my dad's car... In the summer... After we came out to the car, the plastic melted... KITT had a weird-*** frown...

It's mounted there permanently. I can only see my speed from 45-105 but that's why I added my HUD.

Oh the things you can say to remind us to be jealous...

I think the HUD was not necessary because all you had to do was to make sure you drive either 45 or 105 all the time... Don't tell me you drive less than 105MPH...

I think we are about 40% serious before, but read my previous post about putting model kits on parcel shelf...

In summer, plastic parts will melt from heat.

As for plastic kits, I did see one while ago on ebay. I think it was made by Tamiya and it was a euroupean spec but I do believe it was 1:24 or 1:18.

The dude wanted some ridiculous amount though...
