maxima language

hey this may sound stupid but i was reading thru the posts and i have no clue what most of you are talking about. please help.

what is VG and VE?

JDM???

and whatever else lingo that may go on here.

JDM= Japanese Dam Marketing
VG = Very Good
VE = Very Excellent







































ok truth:
JDM= Japanese Domestic market, stuff originally sold / made for the japanese market
VE= VE30DE DOHC motor only available in 92-94 model year SE maximas (some mid year 91s also but they are tagged in the US as 92s)
VG = VG30E SOHC base motor standard on the maxima from 7/84-94 (excluding 92-94 SE models)

SOHC= Single Overhead Cam. 1 camshaft per cylinder head
DOHC = Dual Overhead Cam. 2 camshafts per cylinder head
