Y-pipe???
ok guys i need help on my exhaust system. my y-pipe got messed up today. its sounds like a wannabe 5.0 stang. so that means im in the process of getting a new one with a cat-converter. now i know that WSP offers some different styles for our cars. i know there is a y-pipe and a b-pipe or something like that. what i want to know is what would be better and with what cat-converter??? im open to all suggestions and recommendations as to what would also give me good miles to the gallon.

Get a y-pipe and be done with it, unless your cat and/or b-pipe are rusting away or poorly-made (my b-pipe was a POS Midas job with what seemed like 1.75" crush bends).

so a y-pipe and their carsound cat should do the trick then.
fair enough for me.
Is your cat rusted? You shouldn't need to replace it unless there is something wrong with it.
I suggest just get the y-pipe. Your current one probably has a bad flex section or has a bad o-ring. Mine had a bad o-ring and it sounded like ass. I bought a used Cattman y-pipe because I thought my y was bad. After getting it checked out, it turns out that the stock one was still perfect.

from the exhaust manifold it goes y-pipe, cat, b-pipe, muffler. i would check to see if you have a leak somewhere. that will make it sound loud.
u could always fix it how i did
i did that when i first got the car, the b-pipe had broke in half from a loose bolt holding it on finallly breaking.
