Hello guys,
this is the situation-I had one bad injector so decided to change it(like I've done three times so far on my previous maximas). When I got to the fuel rail I saw that injector #2 is the bad one(i knew that even before I took the intake apart). I changed that and just for the hell of it decided to check the other ones too. Well, I got crazy measurements on all of them! I was getting like 100+ omhs!!!WTF! The car was runing silk smooth before that(except the little sputter and lack of power cause of injector #2) so I though I must be tired or something. Still, I had one more extra injector laying around so I decided to change #1 as well. After I put the intake back togather I started it and it ran like $hit! I though it was a vacuum leak so took the whole intake apart again and put it all togather following the correct order for the tighting and everything. No result! It seemed to me like the engine was running on two cylinders only so I started unpluging the plugs wires one by one while the engine was still running(trying to at least). Sure enough, #3,5,4,6 didn't make a difference when unpluged. So, is it possible for the rest of injectors to go bad all at the same time just to **** me off? Also, I decided to change the plugs and after I did that there was a noticable improvement but still no near close to how the car ran before I took it apart. It seemed to me that the plugs on #3,4,5,6, were dry! Btw, I had the battery unpluged before starting working on it. So, what could the problem be? I checked all my hoses and they seem fine. I am pretty sure it's not an intake gasket leak. I friend of mine suggested that I did something to the computer. I have a ECU from a 5 sp 89 maxima-is it gonna work on this one(91 se auto)? Any help or suggestions will be apreciated!Thank you in advance....

well if your not running on all cylinders and you changed your plug wires and that help, are you sure you have no gas going to the cylinders??
may be they are down because they have no spark?? Check your distributor cap for abnormal wear, also rotor, and check your spark plugs they might just be old, when is the last time you changed them. If you have no spark you have a dead cylinder also not just if the injector is not throwing gas.
edit: Not sure about the ECU, but if both cars have the same engine, (vg/ve) then the ecu should be interchangable, but if your old max has a vg and your new one has a ve then no it wont work.

- IACV, did u touch it? (nasty vacuum leaks)
- I think it is a vacuum leak; by taking MAF connector off u should still get decent 2000rpm on all cylinders(?) ---> if not, then NO vac leak...?
- On VGE u can test injectors by taking distr off and rotating: listen to clicks. Maybe it works likewise on VE rpm sensor?
- cannot believe u broke other injectors. Or did u ? take them also off, --->they were already rotten and broke while handling?(=coils broke internally)
ECU's might be different - Internetautomator hello?
Test a good injector on each injector wire. CLICK? Yes=ECU works. Good spark on each (take spare plug and attach & ground it, tst for spark) SPARK? Yes=ECU works.
Have u got distributor in u engine? And got those carbon soot hoses acting like wannabe wires? Throw those off and build copper wires.

Thank you guys but as I said I didn't even touch the rest of the injectors and they were working perfectly before I started so I am thinking that it can't be the o-rings. The temp in the garage was in the 50s and the engine was cold. The multimeter showed correct impedence on the two ones that I put in there...
I just remembered something-I kind of "pinched" the tip of the fuel filter while removing the upper hose from it. So, could it be that the car is not getting enough fuel now? Well, I know that it's a probability(and a good one) but I was wandering if anyone of you has experienced something like that cause of a restricted fuel flow?

- If u did not touch the rest of injectors, their condition has not been changed. Only possibility is dirt travel from somewhere - that somehow clogged them.
- No change in pinch -problem. (besides, that pinch restricts flow to the last three.) Should run as previously.
- No Fuel flow ---> might be a new problem, but it affects all injectors.
- With MAF off:
...the incoming air volume is not measured. Thereby the engine does not care where air comes from, leaks or no leaks. If MAF is out, in safe mode steady 2000rpm is possible. (Also at 2000rpm idle circuit is bypassed for troubleshooting purposes.) If u have nice 2000rpm with all cylinders, u have bad air leaks, and injectors, sparks ok.
- Take distributor off, turn ign on, rotate distrubutor by hand. Do the injectors click? If so, ECU & injectors are ok - up to a point.
I bet you have bad spark wirings which went totally dead while handling.
