HELP!! With headlight electrical problem!
HELP!! With headlight electrical problem!
My pass headlight went out and I figured it was the bulb so I replaced it and it did not fix the problem. After that, I tested to see if any power was getting to the plug on that side and their was but very little. Now the driving lights stopped working and won't come back on. When I turn on the headlights the only thing that comes on is the driver side headlight on low beam. I have no marker lights, no tail lights, the turn signal only flashes on the dash but not outside. Same as on highbeams but both headlights work on highbeam and still don't have any driving lights whatsoever though. I was getting ready to sell this car until this happened! Anyone who may have any expertise that could help would be a freaking lifesaver!! Thank you a thousand times in advance! Jeremy

All that without smoke?
Check fuses inside, top right. Under hood, beside battery.
Light switch contacts burned; take sw out and clean contacts. Maybe this whole assy burned as it contains also the blink.

If you want to troubleshoot, what I did was to pull the harness off the turnsignal stalk, and used a length of wire to short the 12VDC+ to the lowbeam pins in the wiring harness (there are two, one for left and one for right). If shorting them causes the light to come right on, then your problem is with the turn signal stalk, although I am about 98.5% sure that this is your problem...
Pyrophilus,
Do I have to take the steering wheel off of my car to check out the turn signal stalk ? Thank you for your insite so fat too, it sounds like I might be able to fix it myself hopefully.

Switch connecting points may be mechanically cleaned: if you scratch them, will cause fast contact burn. Use most fine 'sandpaper' that can be found.
Still the repaired one will not last as long as new: add extra relay for main lights to get the current load off from the sw contacts.
Want to see smtg with u lights?
