I got my tires in today for my wheels and even though I havent painted them yet (dark silver) I went ahead and put them on. Its going to be a couple of days before I am able to paint them so I figured I might as well enjoy them a little.

Have no fear though...they will not stay white. I know some people like white wheels but I am not one of them. The only reason they are white is because I got a really good deal on them and didnt really care about the color. Like I said I am going to paint them dark silver in a few days but figured I would go ahead and share some pics now.

And I still havent painted my kit either. I havent decided if I am going to paint the car in the summer or not so I am waiting until I make up my mind before I paint the kit.

anyway enjoy the white wheels...they will not be that color for long...

What's the offset again? Looks like 40-45mm and a 7.5" wide? Looks nice though. Good size wheel. I want 18's now.

its 42mm but only 7" wide . I dont mind the tucked in look (its about like factory maybe a little less inward) but will probably have to get spacers anyway when I get a BBK (when I sell the 93) so that will get me out to the fender more.

are they solid white, or is the outer ring silver. I think they'd look good a dark color like black or dark grey in the middle, and silver around the outer ring. But thats just me. They do look good though.

did you read my post lol? I am painting the dark silver. The outer lip is polished.

I dont like black wheels either so they have to be some form of silver. The silver I am painting them is the same as what my dash is.

are you serious? It doesnt look even close to stock to me. Anyway I have Intrax.

They are pretty light for 18s. They are only 20lbs (lighter than my former 17s). THere are some 18s that are lighter but they are way out of my price range (If I could only find integrals ).

Looks great, wheel spacers would make them look much IMO, but very sharp looking rims.

yup.

for all that are talking about spacers. They really dont look like they are that far in. At least not in person...I mean they dont look funny or anything. They could come out a little but I am going to wait until I get a BBK and then find out how much I need to go. I dont like my tires right at the fender anyway (I know most do but its just not the look "I" like). What I consider to be the perfect look in a wheel/fender depth is what my old 17s were. To me they were perfect. They were in from the inner edge of the fender about an inch or maybe half an inch. I like that look much better than the tire right at the edge.

Man that looks sharp
If I could find some with an 35mm offset I would buy them in a heartbeat. After putting my car on the ground with the 17's I think 18's just fill the wheel wells better

That looks great, even though I am not a fan of the white wheels, either. Darker wheels (like you are planning) with that silver lip will look fantastic. Keep up the good work.

I agree. The 3rd gen's fenders are designed in way that if tires stick out more than stock, too much of the front doors would be exposed to anything the tires would be eager to throw at them. Of course you can reduce that with mud flaps but they are tough to put on lowered cars, and body kits.

I have camber bolts in the front and needed them. I put adjustable links in the rear but they didnt adjust them because they were in spec.

how much as in $ or as in "

They are intrax springs and when I got them (about a year and half ago) they were rated at 1.75" front and rear. On their site now its just 1.7" not sure why the change but who knows.

As for cost I think I paid like $195 shipped or something from Summit racing. I sold my Eibachs for $150 shipped and came up with the difference. I used KYB struts because I was going to swap them with my GXE and buy Koni...I never did because of all the other things that came up. The struts are fine right now but I know I will have them worn out in no time with this drop. I had planned on swapping them before I had many miles on them but like I said a bunch of other stuff came up.

Well I am using actual automotive paint (BC/CC) and a paint gun. I already have the equipment to do it since I started painting as a hobby. I will just scuff the existing paint, prep it and paint it with my gun.

The funny thing is I can use a paint gun better than I can use a rattle can. I can paint metalics just fine with a paint gun but will make them run like crazy with a rattle can.

told you so...I have good vision lol...just wait until they are silver.

haha that is where I cleaned up the picture or blured up the pic lol. It has a little splash of overspray from when the kit was on my 93. I was cropping the pics and said...hmmm I wonder if I can hide the overspray so I just used the blur tool lol.

I can't believe you'd put white wheels on there. I think silver or gunmetal would look much better. Maybe you could trade them for some others that aren't white. You should really lower the car too. The stock springs are just too high when you put bigger wheels on. Are you going to add spacers?
