350Z Muffler Canister

hey guys.. my friend is giving me free 350Z Canister.. would that work with my 92 SE maxima? the canister is about 2 inches longer and i'm sure it fits because i measured it today. If i install it vertically, would it make the same sound as 350Z? or not? and what happens if i block side of the TIP to make it a single TIP? the muffler shop has told me that it will lose pressure and won't work. Please if you guys have done it, help me out thanx.

I think you should keep it twin tip
for looks and sound.....

The guys in the muffler shop want to sell their goods. The tincans do not have too much logic inside...

I bet you will not notice any performance difference whatever muffler u put there. Will not break u engine however u configure pipes; unless u block it: stops working... Y-pipe does make difference - as they tell.

Test u free can!

It won't have that smooth sound like a 350Z. You can block either side, just not both at once It still probably won't make any difference in sound though.

It won't be silenced at all. Its a more free-flowing chambered muffler, so it will have at least some sound over the stock muffler. It just won't have that smooth note like a 350Z

your car has a 3.0 v6 and the 350z had a 3.5 v6 different motors, not to mention that the technology change in 13 years. but for the looks factor alone id say its worth doin

Smart man!

My g35 muffler, sounds like a g35, a 350, muffler, should have a 350 sound.
