black leather, woot

I will be getting these CLICK HERE they look in very nice condition, of course it has the wear lines....but any other used leather seat i would of got would have the same. Now I just need to recover the cloth inserts in the door and cloth arm rest in the middle. Will get pics posted up later of my "new" interior

You paid $350 including shipping for those? Yikes.

you can get brand new, really nice aftermarket leather for $400-500

unless you're picking those up, it's probably not that great of a deal

I would rather pay the extra (15 more than what you are payint for that) and get the Katzkin leather like mine (check out my 93 cardomain site for pics). I love it and the quality is amazing. I paid $565 shipped for mine from ATD.com. This included the armwrest leather, door inserts (vinyl not leather) and an installation kit that had the pliers and hog rings.

I would recomend not getting the installation kit and just going to a co-op if you have one and getting the hog rings and pliers seperately. They are better quality and are really cheap. I broke my hog ring pliers and went to the co-op and got a new set. They were much nicer and will not break.

Dealer installed leather comes without power. It is a little more "poofy" looking. MrGone has it in his white car.

ive been looking for months, ive even been calling around junk yards for months, i have not seen any black power leather seats, that aren't torn up.
junk yard wanted to sell me the back seat, and 2 front seats for $100.....but they had rips and a few small holes in the back seat....

I guess stuff is worth different amounts to different people?

15 more than im paying for that but it cost 565? nice math there lol
actually from what your saying it would be $215 more......thanks for the tip tho, but my seats aren't meant for "show" quality like some of your guys cars. these seats are going to get alot of wear.... I just want my car to be the luxury car its suppose to be

Oh I read the thread wrong...I didnt read the auction at all and just looked at the pictures. I though you bought them for 350 and shipping was 200 (making them 550).

Still I think its worth the extra 215 for brand new better than factory leather. JMHO and the reason I bought new instead of used.

Its not a bad deal though and you can turn around and sell your seats if they are in good condition and make a little back since those are full seats and not covers.

My car is not a show car though...its a daily driver.

Actually Mr Gone had a set of Katskins for a really good price. Right around what you wanted to pay for the oem leather.

I sold my Katzkins for less than that. I kind of wish I didn't

Heck, I'll sell my dealer leather, it hasn't been in the car for over 6 months anyway

I picked up a whole set from the junkyard for $100. There weren't any holes or anything, but they were faded pretty bad... But meguires leather restorer is some great stuff Take a look at the 2nd page of my cardomain site, you just might see them hanging on the walls.

The fact that there's always one day in the month of July that gets at least 110 degress is why I kept the cloth as well.

I think I might have the spelling wrong. And now that I think about it, it's leather conditioner, instead of leather restorer. Still works great!!!!!!!!!

Here's the link to the stuff. Wal-mart carries it also.
http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguia...G-72&store=meg

It may take a couple of applications. My seats took 3 applications to get it soft again, and I let the 1st two sit for about 10 mins each. 3rd application I let it sit for about 5 mins. I also applied it once a month to keep it in top shape.

Bad things was, some of the stiching on the passenger seat had gotten really old, and it snapped when my wife put her knee on it. But that was within the first month. But the seats were in really bad shape when I got them, so it doesn't surprise me. Luckily it wasn't too bad, I just had the body shop guys at my shop repair it.

OK folks he has stated that he is happy with his purchase so no need in saying that you can get such and such for less and that you have some that look better for less etc.

Its done and was not a bad deal. he is happy and that is all that matters.

Sorry just too much negativity in this thread .

No problem. That stuff works really well.

My leather went a from a sun bleached gray/black leather to a full black leather. The top of the rear seats were just white from the sun bleaching. After I was done with the first 3 coats, it was the gray/black that the rest of the seats where. And after 3 coats over 3 months, it was back to it's original black.

I just thank god I didn't have to end up dying it.
