Cutting shifter...

The stock shifter has always been a tad long for my liking. I want to cut about 1.5 inches off it. I really cant buy an aftermarket short shifter right now. If I cut it short, how would the shifter **** attach without the threads?

lets not forget people came up with the idea of re-tapping the shifter ends too.

Use duct tape. Next race -morning after- loose u shifter during manouver. Crash.

What I mean, if u cannot do smtg secure, DO NOT do it.

You could buy a new shifter ***, some are held on by having like three screws in the side that just press firmly up against your shifter. That is always an option.

or get the pacesetter, for 70 bucks, that will REALLY shorten the throw.. and feels good when installed properly, i would advise in getting new return spring and maybe beefing up the shifter mount.. helps ALOT in shifter feel.
