Door lock/car starting problem again
Hi, this is "mom" on J's account. We posted previous about the '92 SE that wouldn't start that turned out to be he wasn't turning the key far enough to disengage the alarm system that would allow the car to start...think that's how it worked.
So over the last week he hasn't had a problem, but has been having to turn the key really hard. Today, a key broke (not off in lock) and his other key is twisted from how hard it must be turned to deactivate so he bought some more tonight. BUT tonight it's not working at all, so he's been jumpstart it.
What would your suggestions be? He's got a little over a week before he heads back to Iraq. Is there a way to turn off this feature? Can he get new locks that will work correctly? I think he said the fuse was removed but it must be getting it's signal from the lock itself.
I think if there was a way to turn it off that would be best then he can deal with it when he returns in Nov/Dec but not sure if that's a possibility. Or if the locks have to be changed, I guess I'm hoping there would be some somewhere in Nashville.
Would love to hear your suggestions and experiences?

Top grey one. Take wire and tie it around so that contact pins will be shorted (not other pins). The relay cover has schema for the pins.
(do not look at the arrow, its connected to my page texts...)
