air filter box

I read or saw someplace somebody talking about taking out their air box and drilling alot of holes in the bottom. They said it increased the air intake almost like an intake without spending $$$. Any ideas on this or any problems anybody can think of doing this?

if you take the time to take the airbox off, you might as well leave it off an attach a intake.

Once built a loo. Smbdy asked where I got that hole size: answer, "I used my head..."

Yes, whatever. But u cant beat 'my price'. Box is a good shield for the stock filter.

Its still has 70% CAI: half idle air comes from outside... driving its 100%CAI.
