Quick Cutting Question

What's a good tool that can cut through the metal for installing my cefiro's. I tried using the dremel and it basically stop within a half inch of cutting. I am going to get some cutting disks on friday for the dremel and see if that helps. Any recommendations on this?

i would say either a saw-zaw, cutting wheel or even a plasma cutter if you have access.

Or.......you could just run to the store and pick up some sheet metal shears and start knawlin away at it

id say any rotary tool like a dremel will work....dunno off hand if they make bigger discs but i assume they do. saw-zaw could do the trick too.

Working on my headlights again at the moment, I've just been prying metal apart with chanel locks, lol.

But a nifty tool is a Body Saw, it's actually made for cutting into your body. But, it runs on air... Which i don't have so I'm stickn with my dremel and trsuty channel locks.

I got a nice little Ryobi grinder for $30 the other day at Home Depot and then a cutting wheel for it for $4. It worked great for cutting through metal. I used it for cutting a hole in the inside of the door on my prelude (power locks and keyless entry )

When I did my BMW lights, I actually just used vice grips after I made a small cut and then twisted the metal out of place pretty easily like opening a sardine can.

I have the same rotary tool. I am going tomorrow to walmart and see if they have some cutting wheels. I was going to on friday but I want to put my Cefiro's in. The only thing that sucks about them is that the whole assembly holding the corner light also has to come off. I looked at the headlights as they rested on my bumpers and I knew that they are gonna be a PITA. Oh well I'm goona try and get this right tomorrow Thanks for the input.

I'd use 2" cutting wheels (dremel tool) for this job. There are not "dremel" brand but come with an adapter to fit in dremel (maintain higher rpms. i.e. 25-30K).
