Can someone help me with this????

Hey guys, haven't posted on here in a very long time, but I have a question. Is the 3rd gen. front strut bolt pattern the same as a 4th gen? I want to buy a strut bar for my ride, but my pump housing for my brakes is set too high up & a normal strut bar won't fit So, I am going to bite the bullet & get either a 200sx strut bar or I have found a 4th gen on ebay that would fit if the bolt pattern is the same. Any help would be good.....

Or, if someone has a strut bar, I would buy it from them. By the way, I am in New Zealand......

If you have to drill it to fit, but make a template first.

Yes the 4th and 5th gen have the same bolt pattern so dont worry about that.

Have you decided to cut the tabs and reweld them to fit?

My car is a 3rd gen, by the way So, if I get a 4th of 5th gen bar, I should be sweet?

Hey awsm66, If I did cut the tabs, would the strength to hold together the bar stilll be there? I only ask cause I am going to buy the bar from the states & don't want to lose money.

Yeah I know you have a 3rd gen. I was just saying a 4th and 5th are the same (I meant the same as the 3rd gen not each other).

It should be plenty strong as long as you use a good welder. They are welded in the first place anyway.
