I have heard there is a drop in motor from another nissan(not sure which one)the same as mine(1990 auto vg30e sohc)with a turbo on it.Does anyone know if this is tru?If there is such a motor what year and model car does it come from and what is the engine model,and is it really a drop in or is ther lots of mods after the install ..........................if possible at all?If not what is the best options for turbo on an auto max gle.

 

Im sure what you heard was referring to a 300z with a single turbo, but im going to assume that if it just "dropped" in alot of maxima's here would be rolling with turbo...

 

my friend is doing that as we speak, his member name is dysfunctional and he has 1990 maxima and bought a jdm vg30et, he is getting it all rebuilt and has a t-88 for it, but if he ever comes online again im sure he'll tell you what its all about.

We're gonna have to hook up because I plan on blowing my 3rd tranny (auto) by going boost. He also have cefiro's like me. Do you know were he got the engine from?

 

BTW, you have a gXe not a gle, no such thing in the 3rd world...i mean 3rd gen maxima.

It prolly won't have the gangsta lean. I'm waiting for Mtcookson to chime in about the motor mount locations. I think the rear bolts up but the front you have to move the turbo because of the radiator. I don't know if his mount's up directly though. I'm gonna pm him right now.

nothing. absofigginlutely nothing. keep your family sedan normal. your tranny will grenade, she'll creak and groan at the seams, and your defrosters will stop working.
