Driveshaft

few weeks ago, the transmission of mine stopped working. i put it in drive, and the engine revs up but it wont go anywhere, no matter the gear. but it does park. i heard kind of a grinding noise in the engine, and concluded that it was the transmission that was broken.

couple days ago i thought of a driveshaft and its function. could it be the driveshaft? what are the main 'symptoms'

(auto tran)

thanks

theres no drive shaft on a front wheel drive car

there are 2 drive axles but they wouldnt cause this type of problem more then likly your trans needs to be rebiult

if one axle snapped, it could cause this problem.
but more than likely it's the trans internal's.
just went through it on the wife's van.
and you think the VG tranny's are bad

Oh but that 3.3 L V6 had some power. I could get my parent's 93 Grand Caravan to smoke the tires... I ended up buying so many tires for that Van... Till the tranny finally went to $hit.
