there is on the WSP one. They make 2 different ones. I remember reading about other companies that made one Y for both and they didnt fit one of the engines correctly...I know thats not much help but I cant remember the details.

Best bet is to get a WSP for the correct engine.

the pipes are different and not even remotely interchangeable.

see thats what I would have thought but on the old WSP site when I first started messing with maximas a couple of years ago said their competitor used a universal Y for both motors and wouldnt fit very well.

Just a thought. It has been a long time and maybe I read it wrong but could have sworn thats what it said.

Ah ha I knew I wasnt crazy...here is the quote directly from their site.

"WarpSpeed Performance has actually taken the time and expense to design a Generation 3 "Y" Pipe in VE dohc and VG sohc versions. Our competition still wonders why theirs have fitment problems...duh!"

fitment "problems" if I recal were correctable to an extent...like I said it was a long time ago when I was reading about it.

Anyway the point I was saying is that some of the old non WSP pipes might have been universal but had fitment problems but that WSP has two different ones.

what about the exhaust manifolds? do you think that the VE heads accomodate a different set of exhaust manifolds like the VG ones do?

Are you asking if dohc and sohc head related parts are interchangable?

there are no other manifolds for the VE afaik. The VG and VE manifolds are different and you can not interchange them.
