I don't believe that grey leather was ever an option for 3rd Gens. Was it, or is this just an aftermarket job?

I don't care for it much either. I just got off the phone with them though. Runs great, and a little rust forming on the passenger door. I'll hafta check it out today or tommorow. I don't think it has ABS or Bose though, which I'd really prefer. has a moonroof though

 

If it has a moonroof, I'm 99% sure it has Bose, or it's been replaced..Sunroof, Bose, and power seats all came as a package on GXE's I believe

 

Grey leather was an option. I've seen a burgandy 93 with factory grey leather before. That looks like aftermarket leather, that has the three ridges/pleats on the seat cushion. I've seen it on 3 rd gens. A max with factory leather (gxe) would have to have bose, and electronic climate control, as well as sunroof.

 

so it's not factory leather. But since it has a sunroof, it has power seats and Bose. What about ABS? Was that in any package?

 

If it has disc brakes, more than likely is has ABS. Otherwise, there will also be an ABS warning lamp on the gauges.

In the dealer's description it lists:

4-wheel Disc Brakes, but it doesn't list ABS

If it has a sunroof, it supposedly has Bose stereo. It lists the sunroof, but it only lists a casette player. Wasn't the only Bose available on the '93 and '94 GXE the CD/Cass. stereo?
It also doesn't list power seats

 

That is a GXE so if it has 4 wheel disk brakes it has ABS...the only exception would be if someone did a rear disk conversion. rear disks were standard on all SEs but only available on GXEs with ABS.

No the casette bose was the standard bose afaik in 93 and 94...I assume the CD/casette combo was just an option. My 93 SE had the casette player.

 

I know the SE's came std. with the casetee-only, I believe this was because Bose was standard on 92+ SE's. I thought that GXE's with Bose got the CD/cass. IMBWT

 

Bose was standard on ALL SEs from 89 up.

Where did you get your info about the 93&4 GXEs having the CD/cass? I am not doubting you but I am just wondering if its hearsay or what. I had a 92GXE with bose and it was cass only...why would they make it only 93 and 94 with the combo? I am pretty sure the combo was just an option.

Then again none of this may matter anyway if the original owner replaced the deck because of the Bose going out.

who knows what could have been done to the car by previous owners.

 

sorry, I don't have a link or anything, I just recall reading that somewhere. it could be wrong though. You could be right about the stereo though. It's obvious someone went through the trouble to get aftermarket leather, so a stereo just seem too far fetched.

That poofy leather is dealer installed, not factory installed. DMad already mentioned this. IIRC, it will have matching leather door inserts instead of cloth, too. That is the only cool thing about dealer installed leather.
