I am debating whether I should send the max to the body shop for paint and dent removal or get my tints first (20% all around). What do you think? THe reason for this is because I saw some people checking out my car lately and since I have a system I really don't want no HU pullers or anything else. But they're both going to occur before the last week of may. That is if I don't buy a RWD car then I'll go tints only.Which to do first?

 

Get the body work done, and then do the tint, because you never know, who ever does your body work might scratch up your tint.

 

tint is on the inside of the windows, seems kinda hard to mess up

people doing your tint might mess up your fresh body work

 

My doors are perect so they have no need to ever touch them. I am just having it sanded down, primered, then repainted in Black. No door jam painting at all. the dents are in both quarter panels (not that bad just noticeable) and in the drivers side fender. I might just find a replacement when I do the prepaint prep. I am also getting rid of that damn raceline I have I want a flat black maxima.

 

well a tint job isnt going to stop anyone from stealing a head unit or anything else for that matter, if i were you id get an alarm that pages you when its gone off. but as for tint vs paint, its doesnt matter at all, but to me paint would be first.

did you even ever finish the lights you were working on, or just stop and move on to another project?? lol

Yeah I finshed the headlights about A week or two ago IIRC. I know tints aren't gonna stop someone but I'm tired of people walking up and staring at my HU and stuff. Plus I'm about to upgrade it so that means more attention (even though tints do add to it). I know they aren't looking at the car because it is in need of TLC exterior-wise

 

well of course you know im gonna say i wanna see pics.....so go get a card reader for your camera and put up pics, ill even host them.

even if youre short on cash for it, go to walmart get one and take it back....aka borrow.

 

I got one on eBay for half of Walmarts costs. Pics will be up early next week.

not that i disagree with you because it seems kinda like you handed brian his **** there. but.... brian is a well known member here who's donated a lot of time & knowledge to the org. he's a sponsor and donating member. i think he has every right to ***** his parts out to all of us.
