I just got these HP R5's 18x8's. They were supposed to be black but the shop sent me the wrong color. Im either going to paint them or powder coat them black next week. I like how they look now but they clash with my color skeme. If i paint them im going to sell my old 18's. These pictures are from a car show at an Engineering office called Miltec. They make missles or something.

why dont you post supersized pics? these are tizziny mannnnng

i like those, they have a nice fat lip and i think if you paint them you should only do the star black or graphite and let the lip shine, thats what id do, but it looks good man, really good.

Man, you hurt my feelings with those wheels!!! If only you were in LA, I could recommend a place that does excellent powdercoat for $30 a wheel.

Man your car with that body kit and no spoiler looks so sweet. The only thing I don't like about that body kit is the exhaust cutout...it's too squared off and too big.

But anyhow I wish mine looked like yours. Hell that's what they SHOULD'VE looked like from the factory IMO.

As far as my headlights im going to keep them black and just do a H.I.D. kit. Jbr8ke inspired me to do my mesh grille. I did it before, and didnt like it, but im going to paint the mesh black this time and put like 40 clear coats on it to make it sparkle. I need new corners too.

I kind of like them silver But it's your money, and your car. A lot better style than your last.

I think your black wheels with the silver center rings accentuate the car's styling better. The silvers still look good, but not as good if you ask me.

i think that since the car is white, the black wheels actually look better. If the car were any other color, then silver wheels would be the way to go

Race Track.

you're better off with a lower rated tire that's good than a z rated tire that's cheap.

I paid $75 each for my Kumho 711's from tirerack.com. The 225/40/18 (what I have) is a z rated tire. They are good tires especially for the money. At least they are here in MS where you dont have to worry about snow. They should never be driven in snow though.

with an 8" wide wheel you really need 235s though and I dont know if they make the 711 in 235/40/18s.

edit...I also like the wheels in silver better...the headlights shouldnt matter about the wheels. I understand what you are getting at though...black and white only on the car but I just dont like black wheels period...especially on a white car. That is just my opinion and the black wheels dont look bad just not the style I like...but do what you like not what I or anyone else likes.

i think they dont make them in 235/40/18 but if they did they would probably be around 120 apiece. atleast thats what the other kuhmo tires are running in that size.

if anything i'd try and get the corners to match the headlights a little better. other than that the silver wheels really improve the look of the car overall...

Nice ride!!!

I am definately in love with the E36 conversion. Is is a difficult install? In terms or wiring and body mods.

hellooooo newbies.....

there is no kit for this convesion. check out our stickies and see the links to it. www.geocities.com/bmwconversion/

took me bout 8 hours with breaks and what not. pretty straight forward, my next step will be to get them flush with the body.

just to give you a quick idea, here are some photos.

I still think it would look better if you painted the spokes black..

Spokes would look good in black. I understand that there is no kit but I dont want the regular E36 lights. I would prefer the projectors. I just figure that since I would be doing a mod might as well go all the way.

well all the way can be taken a couple ways, is that projectors? is that hid? is that flush mounted? or is that all the above? or is all the way doing a cefiro conversion? hmmm.....hid isnt cheap, projectors are not cheap and getting the projectors in can be tricky.

reason i did the regular e36s was i got them for 40 bucks and after gathering up the parts, i didnt feel spending over 200 on headlights would be that great of an idea, ill be flush mounting mine with the headlight covers this summer and calling that "all the way".

By all the way I mean HID with angel eyes projector. I remeber seeing a pic on here of a max with one but he was having a problem wiring the projectors or something.
