It's official!!!!!!!!! Amsoil GL-4 comming back

After attempting to purchase ALU from Syntheticwarehouse.com and finding out it has been discontinued, I setteled for AGM. The dude at the site assured me that it was safe ( even tho a GL-4/GL-5 approved gear oil), I was not so sure. So later I emailed Amsoil's tech help and today I got a call back from a very exctied dealer. TheDealer told me that my email went from the help desk guys to the freeking chemists, who verified that AGM is safe for our tranny's. BETTER NEWS...... Mark this on your calender's fellas!!!!! June first Amisoil will release GL-4 Automotive exclusive gear oil, which, to quote " Will be the best GL-4 product bar none on the market" I can hear the posts stack up on that, can you? I already have a standing order for the new stuff, even tho I have 5 qts. of the AGM comming, just want to feel both of them. I'll update if there is anything noticeable between the 2. Next post..... July??? Till then happy shifting!!!

Amsoil isn't God's gift to the lubrication industry. they do a best-case scenario test and say those results apply to all situations... their claims are simply marketing gone mad and they sell through an almost pyramid scheme. Barely legal.

Sure they have good stuff, but it's no better than any of the other quality brands out there.

I agree. Really, how different can petroleum technology be amongst the big companies? Everyone has their favorites, including me, but it's not going to excite me out of my skivvies.

amsoil's lubes are alright...other than that I wouldn't buy anything elses from them, they've made hoaxes out of their ***** on just about anything they sold. for instance, I once brought their $35 2 stages air filter and man, after 1 months all of the oil dripped out of air filter's foam and my car starts to die in the middle of street. not cool. their oils, however, seems fine after some 8000miles of driving at one time. so I'll continue using their oils.

I have never seen any so excited about tranny fluid....yawn. You sound like Nissan has decided to award you a free new Maxima! Anyway, good for you, man...good for you.

BTW, I am trying, but can't "hear posts stack up on this".

UUUUMMMMMMM k, I was just going off a half million ( intentional exaderation, and yes I know my SP sucks ) on the gear oil thread, and thought I was really bringing good news to the group. Nothing but the best of intentions, sorry if anyone disagrees, I was just "sharing".

It's great. GL-4 is so damned hard to find nowdays. The Redline I use now is fine but it seems a bit more watery vs the Amsoil I've used before. Given the choice, I'd like to use Amsoil.
