I had one like that when I was younger and more stupid. It was the worst thing ever. It would drone all the time and it was a loud drone too. So after someone hacksawed/stole it off of my car one night, I bought my dual tipped one which I have fallen in love with

i have one that is about the same size and look as that but it's an Apexi brand. i'm not sure if i should hook it up cuz of the loudness, don't like that. i heard it help conserve gas thought. how much gas does it help conserve? anyone know? with gas price at 2.50+ in seattle, i might consider it.

Take a trip to the dealership for the exact replacement. However, you stated you have no money. A good aftermarket performance muffler will probably run you the same price or cheaper. It always pays to compare actual prices rather than guess what they may be. Check with someone like Internetautomart. More than likely, he could point you in the right direction.

I have a Flowmaster 40 series Deltaflow. I absolutely love the way it sounds. Not rice whatsoever. I will try and get a sound clip here, but that will be hard because I am due to have some rain and don't have garage. It is nice and throaty/grumbly. I hope the weather gets nice here so I can get it for you.

Mine definately doesn't have that. Although mine is just the muffler. I had to buy the tips separate and weld them to it. Best sounding muffler for our cars IMHO.

theres a guy here that swapped a g35 coupe exhaust into a VG, sounds very cool, but too much work. he had to get rid of his spare tire to make it fit. sounded like a deeper version of the g35 growl

i once heard an SE maxima sounding like a V8 with a dual exhaust set-up. its cool how our maximas can sound like a civic and a muscle car at the same time. i wonder if its possible to make it a true dual

I LOVE the way that mine sounds right now. all that it has is the warpspeed Y-pipe the rest is stock. its very quiet when driving normal but if I get it up past 3.5 RPMs it has a very nice deep tone to it. but this set up wont last me much longet b/c the stock muffler has lots of rust on it. only a matter of time till the rust eats it away

Warpspeed sells one that looks stock for a reasonable price. Take a look at their website and scroll all the way down to the bottom.

RAVIN BABY... doesn't drone at high RPMs... and has a nice tone from the 1100-2600 RPM range. Perfect if you travel with your car. I'm working on getting a sound clip of it. Also mine has the perrty dual tip.

Check out their site. www.goravin.com And go into sounds. The Blazer is the one that sounds the closest.

Ravin has a nice deep one as well. And the part I love, it's not cheaply made like Matrix, and the other BS. Those mufflers expand from the heat, and get louder after about 10 mins of driving. I had to drive from end of South Dakota to the other before the muffler finally heated up enough to get it loud. And even then, it only took about a 2 mins of idling for it to return to normal.

I have one installed on my truck as well.

Not yet, but I'll see if I can get one going. Usuall, 3A Racing stuff blows hardcore, but I ended up buying a muffler from them and I could never have been happier

I've been wondering if a G35 sedan muffler would fit. I like the look, but since I'm
planning on going with a full warpspeed system I'm wondering if the inlet size is the same. Anybody know? I'm looking for something relatively quiet, but better looking than stock.

mine sounds perfect -- no rice at all, nice and deep with no rattles or raspiness. I highly recommend it. It bolts right up to everything, so I could do the work myself and not have to go to a muffler shop.

I changed the tail pipe to 2.5 and eliminated the resonator. It sounds alot better, but I have a couble bad manifold studs now... It sounds like crap.

I have the exact same muffler that aw89maxSE has and I love mine too. I too fell in love with it and I won't change it until it falls off, then I'll get another one! lol But, the sound is great and the looks are killer. I also have a custom-fit Civic cat-back exhaust with no cat. and and huge resonator. No rice, all VG powah!! lol

Get a 5th Gen SE muffler. They're quiet when cruising but deep and throaty under accceleration.

I have the 5th Gen muffler, and agree it's definately quiet. Without the WSP y-pipe it was quiet even under acceleration. Now with the y-pipe and CAI it has a bit more tone, but I wouldn't call it deep or throaty. The 5th Gen muffler should be regarded as our "quiet" option for mufflers, if you want deep or throaty, internetautomar has some other options for that.
